  All of our training staff hold certificates, awards and commendations in the working dog community, both here in the USA and abroad. We work under the philosophy that you "cannot train too hard for a job that can kill you".

IRENE HOWCROFT, Owner & Trainer
Irene founded Ruidoso Malinois and oversees the kennelís programs. She is a certified trainer and has brought a scientific approach to clarifying the needs to push standards in the breed to a higher level. In the counter-narcotics community, she is known for the first U.S. Department of State K9 program within the Mexican Department of Corrections. Her breeding program, development and nutrition based programs are the baseline to numerous K9 programs here in the USA.

Damian has 20 years experience with the United States Airforce and is certified as both a K9 handler and K9 trainer with the Department of Defense. Damian had deployments throughout the middle-east, and additionally was in charge of assessing locations for the purpose of counter terrorism. Damian is able to bring very current real world scenarios to give more depth to our curriculum. Damian is also a certified trainer in the civilian world thus bringing a unique and broad spectrum of knowledge and experience rarely found.

Fabio served with the United States army and is a multi-purpose certified trainer. Fabio is passionate about dogs, their behavior, and skill-set development.

CLINT MOTON, Guest Decoy
Clint is at Ruidoso Malinois for several days monthly bringing with him fresh eyes on each dog, and a variance of techniques and skill application. Clint decoys for French Ring, Mondio Ring, KNPV, PSA and Police K9 and has a wealth of knowledge and skill in developing and advancing dogs.

We have a consistently revolving staff of guest trainers that allow us to remain current in the evolving world of counter-narcotics, patrol, tracking and explosives work. They are comprised of retired and active military, law enforcement and non-government personnel. We are embedded in the community to not only train to a higher standard but also utilize unique perspectives of guest trainers to the modernization and application of keeping K9 teams efficient.

REBECCA, Kennel Technician
Becky is responsible for kennel maintenance and assists in the facility development.

With large contracts other certified trainer team members are available to ensure that these contracts are fulfilled in a professional timely manner to the highest standard.
